At Preston Trick Dogs, I don't believe training should be about drilling your dog until they get it right.

It's about discovering what makes your dog tick, finding ways to make learning fun and building a partnership where you both want to keep coming back for more.

From puppies and pet dogs to dedicated trick enthusiasts and competitive handlers, PTD helps you and your dog learn, play and progress together — whatever your starting point.

I've been training dogs for over 10 years, competing with my own dogs and helping hundreds of handlers discover just how much their dogs are capable of. And I'm still obsessed with finding new things we can teach them!

Do you only train dogs in Preston?

No! PTD offers both in-person training at our Training Barn in Inskip and online training that you can access wherever you are.

Do I need an experienced dog to do tricks?

Absolutely not! Trick training is brilliant for beginners and can be adapted for dogs of all ages and abilities.

Is PTD suitable for competition dogs?

Yes! Alongside pet dog training, PTD has a particular passion for tricks, Heelwork to Music, Freestyle and developing dogs for sport.

What if I'm completely new to dog training?

That's absolutely fine. Training is broken down into manageable steps so you know what to do and why you're doing it.

Do you offer online training?

Yes! You can purchase individual courses through the PTD Community or join the PTD Academy for ongoing access to our wider training library. Or join live training classes via Zoom too
